We are building a prestigious network of Retired Professors, Scientists, and Researchers specialized in India’s core cash crops to help us refine our sustainable practices and mentor the next generation of agri-leaders.
Target Expertise
We are currently seeking Senior Consultants with a career-long focus on the following crops:
- Sugarcane (Subtropical Specialist): Focusing on varietal selection, SSI (Sustainable Sugarcane Initiative) techniques, and ratoon management.
- Rice (Paddy): Expertise in DSR (Direct Seeded Rice), water-saving irrigation, and organic soil enrichment.
- Wheat: Focus on climate-resilient varieties, zero-tillage sowing, and nutrient management in the Indo-Gangetic plains.
- Cotton: Specialization in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), high-density planting systems, and fiber quality optimization.
The Role: Your Wisdom in Action
As a Pragmatix Consultant, you won’t just be sitting in an office; your expertise will directly impact the soil. Your role includes:
- Technical Validation: Reviewing and refining our “Package of Practices” (PoP) for deep ploughing and automatic planting to ensure they align with the latest agronomic science.
- Entrepreneur Mentorship: Conducting masterclasses (online or in-person) for our Mechanization Entrepreneurs to teach them the “Why” behind the “How.”
- Field Audits: Visiting project sites to assess crop health and provide corrective measures for farmers served by our entrepreneurs.
- Policy & White Papers: Collaborating with our leadership team to draft reports that influence sugar mills and government bodies toward sustainable mechanization.

Who Should Apply?
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Academic Background: Retired Professors, HODs, or Senior Scientists from recognized Agricultural Universities (SAUs) or ICAR institutions.
- Field Experience: A minimum of 20 years of research or extension experience in one of our core crops (Sugar, Rice, Wheat, Cotton).
- Visionary Outlook: A strong belief in the power of mechanization and sustainable, “low-input” farming.
